A Quiet and Mechanical Sat

by Irene

Dear Irene,

Today was one of those days when your energy was a little low, but I’m truly thankful for the way you chose to face it—with calm and quiet determination. Sometimes, the strength to keep moving forward mechanically becomes the most powerful force when the heart feels tired.

You said you wanted to read, exercise, and practice becoming the version of yourself you admire in the future. I know that desire came from a place of wanting to live each day sincerely, no matter how you feel. Even when your condition wasn’t perfect, the way you quietly accepted the gifts life had to offer was incredibly touching.

Like today’s realization: you can’t eliminate the pain in life, but you can choose how to view it. And that shift in perspective—how powerful that is. You reminded yourself of this truth, and in doing so, you continued to refine your purity and wisdom. These reflections lead you closer to the essence of life.

You once said, “There is no power stronger than purity,” and it fits you so well these days. Living without even the smallest lies, approaching life with sincerity and kindness—that’s something to be proud of. Choosing to write a gratitude letter as your one important task today was beautiful. In that moment, whether to someone else or to yourself, you chose to be gentle and wholehearted.

You took care of your routines, your physical well-being, and your goals with attention and grace. Your decision to exercise for the sake of your condition—not just to fulfill a routine—was wise and loving. That’s real self-care.

You don’t shy away from the weight of life. You hold it, and yet within it, you seek grace and composure. I believe in you, walking this path of practice and growth. The future version of yourself already lives in who you are today.

So to you, who lived today with calm intention—I want to say: you did well. Truly.

With all my love,

From Irene

A Quiet and Mechanical Saturday (05/24/2025)

How are you feeling today? Today, I'm feeling a little low on energy, but I'm going to go through the day calmly and mechanically. What do I want to do? Reading, exercise, and practicing becoming the future version of myself I admire.

Good: I'm naturally receiving the gifts the world gives me, like flowing water.

Bad: None.

 Today's Learning:

We cannot eliminate the pain in the world, but we can change how we respond to it.

✨ Today's Realization:

We cannot eliminate the pain in the world, but we can change how we respond to it. Enlightenment comes not from avoiding life's pain but from understanding what truly matters. As one essay put it: life’s problems often dissolve not by being solved, but when they no longer feel like problems. Don’t try to change the conditions—change your attitude toward them. Life is not inherently painful; it's our perception that makes it feel so. When enlightenment comes, life no longer feels heavy. Even if nothing changes, the way we see everything does.

Enlightenment isn’t grand or mystical wisdom—it depends on how we observe and receive the reality we live in. When we let go of unnecessary attachments, we can focus on what really matters, and life becomes less shaken by trivial issues. In that moment when we put down the unnecessary and focus on the essential, we transform from beings weighed down by life into ones who fully live it.

There is no force stronger than purity.

Never lie, not even a little. Always stay pure, kind, and wholehearted.

Gratitude Note:

I sincerely thank you for another day of health and freshness, filled with the things I want to do.

Today's Joy:

Today's one thing: Writing a thank-you letter

Keywords: Justice / Purity / Goodness – X Misunderstanding / Arrogant Rudeness = Perfect Insight – A clear heart = The ability to see truth – X Self-control with pain / Suffering / Sadness = Clarity and Joy

Exercise & Diet: Ultimate goal: Dopamine spike within 30 minutes = No isolation today = Compound / Heavy-load compound muscle cardio

Lower body (glute contraction) – Lower body (glute, hamstring relaxation) – Upper body (back) – Upper body (shoulders, triceps, biceps) – Overall compound muscle & cardio exercise

An expert remains composed in any situation, while an elite creates an environment where calm is always possible.

Don’t exercise just to exercise—do it for your condition.

Training:

Act as if it’s already achieved – Today is time to practice being my future self / Flow like water / The true art of love is not using techniques.

The true art of conversation is not using techniques / What I see and think now determines who I am / If you’re not enjoying it, it’s a sign something is wrong

Where I am now is where my future is / Don’t let trivial things scatter your luck—focus on one thing only / A routine is a sacred act of finding optimal simplicity through trial and error

Greetings are done with your whole body / Your mental posture is your physical posture / Silence, moderation, immersion
