슬픔에서 기쁨으로
요한복음 23

제자들이 예수 곁에 모여 있었습니다.
예수가 제자들에게 말했어요, "너희가 슬퍼하는 것을 안다. 그러나 내가 떠나는 게 너희에게 좋은 일이 될 것이다."
제자들은 의아했어요, "선생님이 떠나는 게 어떻게 좋은 일이지? 무슨 말씀을 하시는 거야?"
예수가 말했습니다, "내가 떠나지 않으면 성령이 오지 않을 것이다. 내가 가면 너희에게 성령을 보내겠다."
성령이 제자들의 친구가 돼줄 것이라고 예수가 말한 적이 있습니다.
예수가 말했어요, "너희에게 할 말이 많이 남아있지만, 아직은 너희가 다 알아듣지 못할 것이다. 걱정하지 말라. 성령이 와서 너희가 알게 도와줄 것이다."
성령은 사람들이 예수에 관한 진리를 알도록 도와줍니다.
성령은 사람들이 예수를 믿도록 돕습니다.
예수가 제자들에게 말했어요, "나는 곧 떠날 것이다. 지금은 슬플 것이나, 내가 너희를 다시 만나면 너희는 기쁨에 넘칠 것이며 그 기쁨은 아무도 앗아가지 못할 것이다."
그러자 제자들이 말했어요, "이것으로 저희는 선생님이 하나님에게서 온 분임을 믿습니다."
예수가 대답했습니다, "내가 이 말을 하는 것은 너희가 내 안에서 평안하기를 바라기 때문이다. 너희는 이 세상에서 어려움을 겪을 것이다. 그러나 용기를 내라! 내가 세상을 이겼다."
The disciples gathered around Jesus.
Jesus said to his disciples, "I know you are very sad. But it is good for you that I am going away."
The disciples wondered, "How is Jesus' leaving good? What does Jesus mean?"
Jesus said, "If I don't leave, the Holy Spirit will not come to you. If I go, I will send him to you."
Jesus had told them the Holy Spirit would be their friend.
Jesus said, "I have so much more to tell you, but it is too hard for you to understand. Don't worry, when the Holy Spirit comes, he will help you understand."
The Holy Spirit helps people understand the truth about Jesus.
The Holy Spirit helps them believe in Jesus.
Jesus told his disciples, "In just a little while I will be gone. Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy."
Then Jesus’ disciples said, "This makes us believe that you came from God.”
Jesus replied, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
