마스턴투자운용 본사 대회의실엔 조금 특별한 분위기가 흘렀습니다.
‘서양건축사의 이해’라는 이름으로 사내 특강이 열린 덕분이었죠.
이번 강의는 주임~대리급 젊은 직원들을 위한 시간이었습니다.
올해 입사한 신입사원들도 교육 프로그램의 일환으로 함께했고요.
연단에는 조용민 마스턴투자운용 해외부문 대표가 섰습니다.
건축공학을 전공하고, 현재는 부동산 금융의 길을 걷고 있는 그가 직접 이야기를 들려주었습니다.

Mastern Investment Management hosted an in-house lecture titled "Understanding Western Architectural History" at our headquarters.
The session was designed for our junior professionals, including newly joined associates, as part of our ongoing talent development program. The lecture was led by Yongmin Cho, Head of Global Investment, who holds a degree in architectural engineering and brings extensive experience in global real estate investment.
From ancient Greek temples to Gothic cathedrals and Renaissance order, the lecture explored how architecture reflects the cultural and historical contexts of each era. Mr. Cho emphasized that understanding the built environment offers valuable insight into urban dynamics and real estate assets.
“In alternative investments, long-term competitiveness comes from more than just short-term returns. A deeper understanding of a region’s history, culture, and economic context is essential—and architecture is a powerful entry point,” he shared.
