Irene,
Today was a Friday lived with “optimal simplicity.” Even though your energy was a bit low, you used it only where it truly mattered — that’s something to be proud of. You let yesterday’s system issues pass without pulling you into reaction, keeping your balance instead.
Still, it seems exercise has been draining your energy too quickly. When your body sends signals, resting is also a skill. Having days where you simply keep the flow with light cardio is perfectly fine — it’s how you protect your condition and sustainability.
As Thoreau’s words reminded you today, simplifying life is an act of removal. True simplicity isn’t the absence of effort, but the clarity gained through countless refinements. When discomfort arrives, it’s a sign you’re growing — welcome it. And never compromise your purity; even the smallest lie has no place in your life. Purity and kindness will always be your strongest strengths.
Starting the day with gratitude and filling it with things you truly wanted — even something as small as printing a handwritten letter — became a treasure of the day. I hope that warmth stays with you.
Irene, simplicity is never a lack. It’s the fullness reached through long practice, with nothing more to wish for. Life is the journey toward that clarity. Continue living each day with grace and poise, practicing the “future you” you dream of.
Always on your side,
Irene
A Friday Lived in Optimal Simplicity (08/08/2025)
How do I feel today? My condition is a bit low, but I’ll try to use my energy as efficiently as possible while keeping my routines. What do I want to do today? Reading, exercising, and practicing being my future, admired self.
Good: Yesterday’s system issues were slightly irritating, but I remembered they were beyond my control. I executed my day efficiently, avoiding stress or unnecessary reactions, and I think I spent the day well.
Bad: Exercise seems to be draining my energy too much. I must take at least one or two rest days each week. When my condition isn’t good, like yesterday, I should stick to cardio only. This is about energy distribution — and it’s also a skill.
 Today’s Learning:
“Our life is frittered away by detail… simplify, simplify.”
Thoreau’s words remind me that the essence of a well-lived life is in removing the unnecessary and keeping only what is essential.
✨ Today’s Realization:
True simplicity is not the absence of effort, but the result of countless refinements.
The discomfort that comes with adding something new is not regression, but a sign that growth is happening.
By embracing that discomfort and letting go of what’s unnecessary, we move closer to a purer, unshakable self — and to the life we truly want.
There is no force stronger in this world than purity.
Never tell even the smallest lie. Always remain pure, kind, and sincere.
Gratitude Note:
I am truly grateful that I can start the day healthy and refreshed, without worries, and live a day filled with the things I want.
Today’s Joy:
Today’s one thing: Printing a handwritten letter
Keywords: Simplicity is not lack. It is not clumsiness. It is the near-perfect state reached after long practice, with nothing more to wish for. Life is the process of creating that optimal state for living. Don’t make it unnecessarily complicated.
Condition & Physical Management:
Sleep: 8 hours (5-2) — Sleep quality (high), skin (good), stamina (good), mood (good), productivity (good), efficiency (good), creativity (good)
For the sake of sleep quality, condition, and skin, I must maintain regular body massages and half-baths.
Detox day at least once a week.
Chores: Cleaning, laundry, assignments, reading, meal prep, letters to Gongmyeong and Mr. Lee Junho, market, podcast.
Exercise & Diet:
Ultimate goal: Within 30 minutes = dopamine spike = avoid isolation today; focus on multi-joint, high-load compound muscle & cardio exercises.
Lower body (glute contraction) – lower body (hip & hamstring stretch) – upper body (back) – upper body (shoulders, triceps, biceps) – overall muscle & cardio compound exercises.
A master can respond calmly in any situation, and an elite creates an environment where they can always remain calm.
Exercise for condition, not just for the sake of exercise.

* Weekly goal: Spend one day at the Four Seasons Hotel
* August goal: Spend one day at the Four Seasons Hotel
* 2025 goal: Train for personal growth to become a pure, kind, polite, humble, calm, and dignified Irene — genuine and sincere. Increase external activities. Change my time, people, and environment. Become a billionaire.
Practice:
Act as if you’ve already achieved it — today is practice for my future self.
Flow naturally.
The true art of love is to use no technique.
The true art of conversation is to use no technique.
What I see now, what I think now, determines who I am now.
If I can’t enjoy it, it’s a sign something is wrong.
Where I am now is my future.
Avoid scattering my luck on trivial matters — focus on one thing.
Routine is the sacred act of finding optimal simplicity through long trial and error.
Greet with your whole body.
Mind posture is body posture.
Silence, moderation, immersion.
