새로 시작한 삶, 두 달간 많은 변화가 일어났습니다

안녕하십니까 총괄 법인장 안재혁입니다.

이제 날이 제법 많이 덥습니다. 모두 건강 조심하시고 작업장에서는 특히 안전에 유의 하시기 바랍니다.

Safety is Priority No.1 입니다. 안전에는 타협도 양보도 있어선 안됩니다. 위험 요인을 미리 미리 찾아내서 예방하는 활동을 강화해 주시기 바랍니다.

4월 16일 테네시에 와서 한달여 근무 하다가 VISA Interview 를 위해 한국으로 잠시 귀국후 6/1일 다시 미국으로 돌아와 이제 2주가 되었습니다. 2달여 기간동안 조직 분위기를 개선하고 소통을 개선 시키고 회사의 목표와 방향을 정하기 위해 팀장들과 많은 이야기를 하였고 이제 팀원들과도 소통 중에 있습니다. 

지난 두어달 동안 경영 실적이 많이 개선 되었습니다. 2022년 작년에만 $26M 만불의 영업 손실이 있었고 지난 3년간 누적 손실이 $54M 에 달하며 현재 회사의 부채가 $200M 가까이 됩니다. 특히 작년에 이런저런 어려움으로 많은 분들이 힘든 시간을 보냈다고 들었습니다.

그러나 여러분들의 눈부신 활약으로 이제 회사가 회복하기 시작 하였습니다. 지난 5월에는 마침내 7.6%의 영업 이익을 냈습니다. 7년만의 최대 영업 이익율입니다. 아무리 어렵고 힘든 상황이라도 우리가 마음만 먹는다면 해 낼수 있다는 진리를 여러분께서 직접 결과로 보여주었습니다. 이 자리를 빌어 모든 분들에게 감사의 마음을 전합니다. 감사합니다. 

회사를 완전히 건강한 모습으로 만들기 위해선 아직도 갈 길이 멉니다. 하지만 할수 있다는 의지를 여러분께서 보여 주었고 우리는 실제로 해 낼수 있습니다. 이제 우리는 아주 빠른 시간 안에 모든 상황을 반전 시킬 것입니다. 회사는 더 건강해 지고 여러분의 삶은 더 여유로워지고 행복해 질 것입니다. 

저는 여러분의 삶이 적어도 어제 보다 더 나은 오늘이 될 수 있도록 제가 할 수 있는 모든 역량을 쏟아 부을 것입니다. 이것은 저의 꿈이기도 합니다. 스스로 원하지도 계획 하지도 않았는데 어느날 갑자기 지구 별이라는 세상에 떨어져 다양한 고통과 짐들을 안고 살아가야 하는 인간이라는 존재로서 저와 연결되는 모든 사람들이 어제보다 더 나은 오늘을 살수 있도록 돕는 것, 그것이 제 개인의 꿈이고 비젼입니다.

그러나 저 혼자서는 이 꿈을 이룰 수 없습니다. 여러분들이 도와 주셔야만 하고 여기 있는 모든 구성원들이 모두 한마음 한뜻으로 한 방향을 향해 나아가야 합니다. 

그러기 위해선 첫째로 우리 주변의 많은 비효율 적인 것들을 개선해야 하고 두번째로 특히 무단 결근 같은 회사의 경영을 아주 어렵고 힘들게 만드는 일들이 개선 되어야만 합니다. 한 사람의 무단 결근은 별 것 아닐 수 있지만 나 하나쯤이야 하는 생각으로 많은 분들이 옳지 않은 일을 한다면 회사는 더 가난해 지고 여러분의 삶도 힘들어 지게 됩니다.   

세번째로 지금보다 더 속도를 높여야 합니다. 남들과 똑 같은 속도로 가면서 더 빨리 목적지에 도달하기를 기대 할수는 없습니다. 이것이 경쟁사와 차별성을 만들고 경쟁 우위를 갖게 하여 더 좋은 회사를 만드는데 기본이 됩니다. 

지금 답을 찾지 못했더라도 어딘가에 분명 답이 있을거라는 믿음으로 생각하고 또 생각하면 어느날 갑자기 답이 나옵니다. 이것이 생각의 힘이고 뇌 과학에서 밝혀진 사실이기도 하며 제가 매일 경험하는 것이기도 합니다. 여러분들도 할 수 있습니다. 생각하는 대로 되어지고 지금 자신의 생각이 자신의 미래를 만든다는 자연의 법칙이기도 합니다.

마지막으로 지난 3년 동안 적자의 늪에서 극적으로 흑자 반전에 성공할 수 있도록 힘써주신 여기 계신 모든 분들에게 다시한번 진심으로 감사드립니다. 이에 대한 기념으로 아주 작지만 이벤트를 하나 준비 하였습니다. 팀장님들이나 슈퍼바이저 분들께서 내용을 전달해 주실 것으로 믿습니다.

적어도 이 Knoxville 지역에서는 가장 좋은 회사를 만드는 여정에 여러분 모두의 적극적인 동참을 부탁드립니다.

Hello, I'm Jason Ahn, the general managing director.

It's quite hot now. Please take care of your health and pay special attention to safety at the workplace. Safety is Priority No.1. There should be no compromise or concession in safety. Please strengthen your activities to identify and prevent risk factors in advance.

I came to Tennessee on April 16th and worked for about a month before returning to Korea for VISA Interview, and then returned to the United States on June 1st and now it's been 2 weeks. I talked a lot with the team leaders to improve the organizational atmosphere, to improve communication, and to set the company's goals and directions for last two months, and now I am communicating with the team members.

Business performance has rapidly improved a lot during the last couple of months. Last year alone in 2022 there was an operating loss of $26M, cumulative losses over the past three years amounted to $54M, and the company's current loan from bank is close to $200M. Especially, I heard that many people had a hard time last year due to various difficulties.

However, thanks to all of your brilliant effort, the company is starting to recover. In May, we finally made an operating profit of 7.6%. This is the highest operating margin in last seven years. No matter how difficult and difficult the situation is, you have shown the truth that we can do it if we make up our mind. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone. Thank you so much.

There's still a long way to go to make the company look completely healthy. But you've shown the willingness to do it and we can actually do it. Now we will make a turn everything around in a very short time. The company will be healthier and your life will be more relaxed and happy.

I will put everything in my power to make your life at least a better day today than yesterday. This is also my dream. It's my personal dream and vision to help everyone connected to me live a better today than yesterday as a human being who suddenly falls into the world of the planet and has to live with various pains and burdens.

But I can't achieve this dream by myself. You have to help and all the members here must all move in one direction.

To do that, first, we need to improve a lot of inefficiencies around us, and second, especially to improve things that make it very difficult and difficult to manage a company, such as absenteeism. One person's absenteeism may not be a big deal, but if many people do something wrong like this, the company will be getting poorer and your life will be getting in trouble.

Third, we need to speed up more than we do now. You can't expect to reach your destination faster by going at the same speed as others. This is the basis for creating a better company by differentiating it from its competitors and giving it a competitive advantage.

Even if you haven't found the answer now, you think that there must be an answer somewhere, and if you think about it over and over again, one day you suddenly get an answer in the dream or toilet. That's the power of thought, the fact found in brain science, and that's what I experience every day. You can do it, too. It's also the law of nature that goes as you think, and that your thoughts now make your future.

Finally, I would like to thank all of you here once again for your efforts to make the profit for the first time in three years. In commemoration of this, we prepared a small event. I believe the team leaders and supervisors will deliver the information.

I ask for your pro-active participation in the journey to make the best company, at least in this Knoxville area.
